It is good to see that the road maintenance will be finished by Friday but what that does mean is that there is likely to be loose bluemetal on some patch work.
Take care on those few roads or avoid them all together I reckon.
Yes, thanks Graham.

Hi there

Prediction is that it is going to be wet out of Sydney, but cloudy in Thredbo for the weekend. It will be cold on Friday night, going down to zero degrees, so if anybodys battery is suspect or you are not sure about your cooling systems antifreeze dosing, then check it out before you leave.

I think the problems I had last year were due to the battery being old and getting down on efficiency, resulting in the alternator being on charge longer, which melted stupid plug on the reg/rec. It's a new rec. new battery, and hard wired now, so lets see what happens this time.

Baby is on buffalo tablets (huge antibiotics) and is doing everything she can to be there. Hopefully she can make it, she loves the Snowy Ride.

In fact I am sure that I won't!!

a hint with the occy straps..zip ties are important.they stop the occies from slipping off the busa mounts...been there done thatVery Happy..just tie them around the silver knob incorperating the occy hook ..not very technicle but it works.take a small knife with you to cut the zip ties.

the occies hooks may slip off the knobs.

after a rather eventful day with the daughter(very stressy day).. i,m pretty sure i,m still going..bag is packed.nivs washing his bike..

what is it with you guys? you gotta wash the bike the last min? and then and of course it will arrive at destination bug gut free.....Very Happy.buts i loves him.

Well 1hotbusa and myself arrived home yesterday at about 3pm.

What an awesome weekend. The weather was perfect, the fellow club members that we met up with were great, putting faces to names was good....oh the ride there and back was fantastic Pi_thumbsup

The Snowy ride had a new record again this year with over 3,200 registered bikes and pillions and many more that didn't bother to pay the $60 (tax deductable) registration fee Confused.

Next year the Snowy Ride will be celebrating their 10th Anniversary, so no doubt there will be more bikes than this year and a new record will be set. If you are considering attending next years ride, a suggestion would be to book accomodation now and if you need to cancel than that is a lot simpler to do than to find accomodation later on.

During the presentations of prizes a local Policehad a 'KNOB OF THE DAY' award. This award went to:

A learner rider, that passed a semi across double yellow lines whilst being followed by 2 motorcycle Police and doing 157km/h. The police eventually passed the semi, then caught up with the learner rider and took over 1km to have him come to a stop on the 900cc Triumph motorcycle the learner was riding Trophy

It certainly was a brilliant 3 days of riding, chatting, jokes and meeting new folks.
There were nearly as many busas there as blackbirds I reckon.

I had a fabulous time and will definitly be back.
Police were there with a very happy demeanour and didn't bother anyone except for the nob and some breath testing.

Over $2 mill has been raised from this event over the years. Directly funded to the children's oncology research.
