Stoners bike pulled 343kmph on the track on the weekend yet he is slow if you compare it to a new article a few weeks back where it suggested production bikes were reaching speeds of 345kmph.. Maybe MotoGP should grab a production bike and get rid of their factory prototype crap

BUSA-RO Wrote:why would you compare any Gp rider to this bloke as far as i new at Gp racing you did not have cars and people to avoid or that unexpected trafic light Confused
I wasnt compairing him to a GP rider,i was saying because he was on a learners permit didnt necessarily mean that he didnt have riding ability or experience.I said for all you know he may have been an ex A grade racer.
Shit when i was younger and the police and laws were a lot less anal i used to fly around everywhere and ride to the conditions (and im still here to talk about it),and i really thought that it taught you how to ride. This new generation we see comming up are so f*&^ing restricted(including us now)and dumbed down so much that when they do finally get somewhere to give the bike a squirt they have no f*&^ing idea what to do and usually end up in the bushes. You dont learn bike control scooting around at 40 or 60 km/h.:eyes:Sure you can learn bike control doing track days and schools but it still doesnt teach you about road hazards and traffic and the million and one other things that are out to get you.
Its the same old story, because one tool does the wrong thing,we all get penalised for it?He would of learned his lesson sooner or later the hard way.Violin

I can't relate to all this "when I was young - and reckless" stuff since I am still young, but wouldn't consider myself reckless.

No I'm not joking lol - hard to believe but they are so of us young riders out there who aren't hoons.

I've never done over the limit in a residential area, and don't plan on ever doing it. I've seen what happens when you do. Like the guy I knew who used worked up the road from my old house. He was doing about 100 in the 50 zone over the crest of my hill, and had no time to react to the car pulling out of the intersection.

2 days later he was dead.

I was so used to people speeding right outside my old house (it's a 50 zone but most people do about 80) that I started shaking my fists menancingly at everyone wenever I was outside. The whole street is full of children and I remember nearly getting hit by someone a few years back trying to get my ball off the road. The person would have been doing 100 at least.

So yeah I definitely don't condone speeding in a built up area. One could argue that there's a time and place for speeding but the inner city is definitely not the place.

Phew - sorry about the rant but I do like having my say.
