You might have to mention a donation to a charity to Suzuki to get some play time, what about Diabetes Australia, an extremely worthy association, with much needed assistance for research.Wadaya think?

Ronnie, that seems like a great idea and when discussions may take place with them I will surely introduce that prospective idea too.
Update. To date I have not heard from them. When I called to speak with either the General Manager I was told he was on leave. The other the National Sales Manager is currently in SA for an exhibition (bike I presume), he is due back next week when I shall make further attempts to contact them.

I agree with chopper bob and tony de, (NSW).
My friend in narellan started the Katana club and is having there convention in easter at Dubbo. So why not Dubbo or central nsw,Brisbane riders have a go and join nsw riders, and nsw always have a good turn up at the rides(unlike vic). And as far as waiting for suzukis involvement, it would probably like one of there f**king recalls, you will be waiting a long time for no result. Thanks for the support Gregg. I agree.
I have just gone through an unpleasant experience of waiting for Suzukis spare part support. What a bloody joke!! I agree with what you are trying to do Volvi but from experience......"don't hold ya bloody breath mate" Regards Chopper

While the Alice sounds great, Bathurst is the place where all roads should meet mayhap? I recall a mob of young road terrorists flogging the local plod there many years ago. I think they have since forgiven the ones they didn't flog back.
Bathurst has oceans of excellent roads around and is a visitors Mecca for cheap accommodation. My 2 cents worth. Max Madmax - GSX1300R Black and Blue Buses Rule Good Bike, Good Woman, Good Road, Good Weather, Good God - Good Bye! Smith and Wesson - The original point and click interface.

Stuff camping, staying in pubs and motels is the way to go. You will get good discounts because of the group thing,so you only need to carry clothes, busas dont break down do they??? For our tassie tour there were 14 of us and we organised it trough a travel agent who advertised in two wheels. For the 10 days it cost us the measly sum off $750,which included the boat trip and all accomadation.I personally spent $600 which was for fuel, meals and light refreshments, hahaha!

I spoke yesterday to the National Sales Manager as a follow up and was told the matter was referred over to the General Manager....who is in Japan till mid next week.
So I propose the following; Instead of just waiting hat in hand perhaps we should get the ball rolling. I suggest that each state appoints theyre own reps who are willing to be involved in planning and bringing this event into fruition. Then those reps can deliberate whether publicly or privately as to location and a date and see if they can come to a mutual agreement and then put it forward. I would prefer to exclude myself from this process. Perhaps I'll just continue to persue this possible track with Suzuki and then present any and if options offered by them to all these reps (committee). Seeing that Rod has been instrumental in trying to get rides organised and is very familiar with possible locations, I would like to nominate him representing VIC and perhaps he can nominate others that may be able to assist him. And perhaps NSW can do the same as well as any other interested parties from other states. What do you think? if positive lets start. |
