I got a bit excited there.Hows this,i just did a drag coefficient test with and without the mirrors(coast down from 110-100)then 20-10km/hr.The results show there is a measurably less drag without the mirrors. And thats at 110-100.What about 230+?Hello mph.Very HappyNow you can sleep.Confused

I picked up a second hand shift light with extras today for $100! Mine doesn't do the drag coefficient I don't think (not the VR2 model and I havn't read the manual yet).

Did i hear mumblings from a slow red bike rider?I will admit there are some quick red ones, maybe its just the rider(even without HIS mirrors, afterall everthing is usually in front of him anyway).Lol2

So tell us about how you measured your wind coefficients, oh learned one!

First grasshopper you must buy a veypor and follow its requests at various speeds, using several back to back runs on a straight flat road for a consistent average result. Then you need to do the same with the change that you make. Both averaged out you will see a comparative result.Simple.

...as long as you account for the numerous intervening variables that a veypor can't account for, like:

1. inconsistencies in the road (unless you happen to follow the exact path and touch every piece of stone each time)
2. rider judgement (any possible biases one may report)
3. your position on the bike that will affect aerodymamics
4. temperature of tyres on each run
5. engine performance/temperature on each run
6. throttle response/braking on each run

...and probably a few others I haven't thought of in the 23 seconds it took to write this.

Apart from that, I'm sure it's spot-on accurate Coolsmiley
If you believe it's relatively accurate, I don't know why they even bother with wind tunnels, since a veypor can do it!

Although sometimes a veypor may cause one to produce veypors... Boobies4

Shit what would i know,i just own one and have gone faster since buying it.I guess you just have to hear about it to be the GURU on the subject. If i do keep the mirrors on I,ll have to fit those magnifying ones on to still be able to see you in them.Lol2Ding Ding

I never claim to be a guru. I never claim to be fast.
As you have done in the past, you have made claims which we have every right to challenge...

Comparing yourself to people with less riding experience and less incentive to go fast will always make you look a winner.

So, tell me more veypors...

I don,t sell veypors,i just bought one and am keen to show others all the cool things it can do.Wheres the harm in that?I am not bagging someone elses product nor pushing something dad sells.Any claims i make are based on either measured results or obvious seat of the pants feel even non gurus could notice,if that helps inform people in the club based on my analytical perspective, great. Those that see me as a dart board can ride to coffs harbour.I claimed dads rotors were better as well as militec, tiforce exhausts elka shock, wheels etc etc,but what would i and a large percentage of the club know we all must be full of veypors.I,m not into groupies i prefer to hang around those that are quicker than me,you learn more.Did you see me in the slower groups on the track day puffing up my ego.Why bother?Do you ever hear me bagging someone whos quicker than me,whats the point their better and i have to match or beat that, thats the challenge. Now go shine your staintunes, the suns out.Biker

Don't like being questioned huh?

Quote:Any claims i make are based on either measured results
...all I did was ask about how those measurements may be affected by other variables. Still waiting for that answer, by the way... Eek

Quote:what would i and a large percentage of the club know
...ummmmh, lots, that's why I ask plenty of questions...

Quote:Did you see me in the slower groups on the track day puffing up my ego
A bit of accusing happening here...??? Did you ever hear me in the slower group boasting or "puffing my ego"? All my friends were in that group, where I have always ridden, and this was my first time in the medium group! Not to mention my brakes were fading and I didn't want to hold up (you) faster riders. I've never claimed to be fast and you know that! You're just projecting your issues onto me! You never bag people faster than you but you sure seem to enjoy challenging people slower than you! Boobies4

Yes, I value bling more than performance and so do some others. Doesn't make you right, though I wonder what would value more if you had a company that sold bling parts... Have you sold your Staintunes yet?

Quote:Those that see me as a dart board can ride to coffs harbour
...Ummmmh, is there something you're trying to imply here? Confused

Getting personal for you is it? No, of course it's not... (DJ, where's that violin gone?)
