I do miss them esp the turbo ute, still have 1 car to play with, a 70 AMC Javelin, another long term project, originaly a 390 powered car but had a 360 smog motor (gutless) when i brought it.
now have a 401,ready to bore and assemble forged flat tops, fairly big cam, have to build extractors ,single plane manifold that will have injector mounts fitted 990cfm throttlebody and wolf3d efi ,

I have the red/gray racebike usually at heathcote or my roadbike black/blue on the odd occasion.

I turbo everything Very Happy
would have done a twin turbo on the Jav but the costs of suitable drivetrain would be excessive.
streetbike has a best of 9.38 at 164mph, racebike 8.85 and 165.

Could always turbo the 318 Coolsmiley

I like your style haha!
Do you fabricate all the manifolds yourself an that?

Hell yes we could!
Its better doing a 360,they cost no more to do than a 318 an you get the bonus
cubes! Oh my,we must have a proper chat soon about this!
Wont turbocharge the hayabusa yet cuz i just picked it up an it still has a 2year warranty.
Once the waranty is gone its as good as done!
Do you turbocharge things for people,or just for yourself?
(obviously charging them a price you think is suitable for whatever application etc)

Done a couple for others, its a hobby not business, has to fit in around my work and play
over the years have fitted a couple of aireasearch kits to red motor holdens and fabricated for 232 rambler 6, 440 dodge , 265 val, gsxr 750,triumph daytona,4 busa's & fitted 1 other busa kit

318 or 360 will both make more power than the current gearbox, diff or tires can put up with, better off putting money into the drive train than a bigger engine.

Well yeh your right, need a 9 inch 31 spline axles, and a toploader or a new process haha.

96 model , was carbs but converted to efi, done a couple of 9.8's but usually 10.1, he has bars on it now but quickest time is no bar.

Yeah i prefer rowing my way across town with the 4 spd too, looking for a good 6 speed for the jav, wanting the best of both worlds, low diff for acceleration but hi gearing for economy and a more comfortable highway cruise, so 4.1 diff gears and 2 overdrive gears should solve the problem.

Yeh i cant afford a strong 6 speed haha, there like 6 grand or more with decent clutch.
Yeh that bikes quick as!

Nothern vic

Its my only streetbike i don't commute but daytrip to the hills or general weekend rides.
~240 hp in first & staged to ~300 in top gear. the percentage of time spent at wide open throttle is low.
