Thanks for this thread guys, a lot of info here, and a BIG help, i'd not seen the bagster before, I ended up paying retail for mine (249 for the cover & 189 for the bag) but I should have the cover and the bag within the week from the Sydney supplier (who waived the postage, Thanks Steven) direct for around the same price (like 10 bucks different) as it would have cost me to order it from that E place.
So to add to it the plain black cover to suit the 2012, the bagster part # is 1567U, and the bag I chose a smaller one, minea, expandable from 10 ish litre up to 21, with map pocket and shoulder straps is 4888CU also black.
This thread and its contents is what pushed me to join, thanks for the frank informative discussions guys, really helpful.

Hey Thompy,
Heaps of good info on this site, and if it's not here, just ask .. someone will chime in with the answer.
I actually started this thread just after I bought my 2012, but I still haven't bought a bagster cover or bag. I just wasn't happy with the plain black, and was hoping they would bring out a tank cover to match our colour scheme .. but maybe they wont
When you get yours all fitted up, could you whack a photo up so I can have a look. I'll use yours as the guinea pig to see if I like the look.

No worries Dale, would be a pleasure, i'm gunna assume you have the red? mine is the black.
IIRC in the catalogue the white was a primary and the black was the option, pretty sure the red wasn't an option in europe and they only got the black/white options. Perhaps you could have the white coloured to red by a dye by an upholsterer?
I have the Suzuki kanji black half bra on at present, and i want to do some touring, also i didnt like the idea of the paint fading over time to the halfway, although the scratches were my primary fear, so I can get pics of the before during and after.
Given it'll be Anzac day this week (lest we forget) I may not get em till next week, i'll post pics after a clean and as I go.
pro tip: the supplier suggested the fit would be better if the leather was supple, so when ya fit em leave the bike and the cover in the sun for 5 mins and then fit em up.

Mines the black mate, identical twin to yours, including the ventura rack/bag and kanji half bra. I know our tanks are fully black but I was hoping bagster would do a cover with a red and grey stripe as per the fairing. I'll wait til I see yours then I'll decide which way to go. I may end up buying one to suit the 2008 as it at least has a grey stripe. Yeah, I know .. Im a cussy funt

Hey we're all fussy man
From what I can see of pashnit's blue though the striping looks sewn over the top of the single cover base, would be a simple thing i'd think to get the black and have an upholsterer add to it. Would make it pretty unique...hmmm...i'll get the pics up as soon as I can.

That was my original plan. I emailed big Kev (he's a member on this forum) to see if he could sew something on, but I never received an answer so I never went ahead with buying one. I'll catch up with Kev sometime in the future, so I'll ask him again.

I don't want to put a tank bag on but am seriously thinking about one of these just to protect the paintwork. The aussie eBay shop mentioned a page or so back seems to be getting out ot them and only has a black on but I did a global search and there are some nice white ones about.

I swear by my bagster. extra grip for hanging on whilst cornering, and you can easily just balance a slab of bundy and coke cans on the tank whist going to Tathra and not worry about scratching the tank!
I don't want a pickle . . .

My only fear is that the friggin cat here will use it as a claw sharpener. The rubber protector on the old bike's tank has puncture holes all over it. Just last night I had to off the head of another dove it had dragged out a nest and chewed the back off of. Sick unit!

Is it leather or vinyl and is the tank side lined? Does it use magnets? Just curious, the sellers online say shit all about it and never a photo of the inside.
