I have pazzo's and purchase/tried 3 Chinese alternative levers and 2 out of the three are shit in qulaity, finish and materials. If people want proof than one needs to spend 40$ and check for yourself by snapping one of them and get the material tested,I'm sure ones safety is worth more than that.
On a personal note I could not give 2 fcuks what AMC or any other vendor on this forum says when they are trying to sell a product cause I do have a brain to compare and work out what is a good deal or not.On the flip side when info or prospective warnings are freely being given than one should take note and decide for themselves if and what is being said has any substance and decide from there.Instead of sending someone to the Spanish inquisition for simply posting an open statement about a product that may or may not be unsafe some should keep in mind that prevention is better then cure and as my dad says"a poor man will end up buying his shit twice"!!!!
If any of the vendors on this forum are willing to cough up the money to get them tested I will happily provide the levers as I do not have a problem in naming and shaming.I also urge other members to speak up and stop talking shit if they are not happy with anything they purchased or received a service from a vendor on this forum or anywhere for that matter and are not happy.

Have absolutely no idea what is meant by 'convenient for some'
To explain ................. less vendors on the board means less competition which would suit some vendors ie convenient for some I would imagine. Did not take the post aimed at me in anyway was simply stating that a set had been donated and if some one wished to give them a wack with a hammer no probs here In saying that I think I had posted earlier re the copies that I think there are copies and copies from what I have seen on flea bay ? Some copies may be good and others bad I think Simmo or some one else may have had a set that broke in use ?
Remsta the Polemicist is just doing what a Polemicist does ............... he just doesn't do it very well is all and it would probably be best if he found a new platform to practice honing his skills

Not in case the levers broke under heavy breaking.........anycase - still think this post should be a lesson on the different process to make a lever or any other alloy components.

Verbal diarrhea - full of shit.
For F....'s sake, all I did was to point out that some Chinese shit was just that - shit and to suggest people exercise caution. Why the need to ascribe evil intent and some motive?
You want problems we found not previously mentioned?
Adjusters that hit the perch mounting bolt in position 5 and 6, potentially jamming
Adjuster cams not 'square' and wearing through the anodising after 15-16 sweeps of the adjuster back and forth, leaving an alloy strip on one edge of the adjuster cam.
Anodising so thin it takes the smallest knock to wear through.
Inconsistent colour on parts of the adjuster assembly.
Mounting holes not square on or excessive slop.
There were other issues however I can't be bothered...
And before anyone jumps in - No I Am Not Suggesting This Applies to Pete's Levers!
Feel free to take the post at face value or not I really don't give a.....

Actually had found a prob with the cheap levers from the past .......... if on the lowest setting (lever closest to bar) the then limited throw would not activate the clutch switch and therefore bike wouldn't start .............. something to watch for. I think it's pretty safe to say that your not going to get a $200 set of levers for $40 and with out doubt the cheapies are exactly that .................. cheapies.

For the life of me I cant see why some harp on accusing others of ulterior motives etc. etc. From what I can glean is that AMCO simply put his 2c re quality of cheaper copies and informing others. I dont see anything wrong in that. The man knows what hes talking about and when he expresses himself as clearly as he does why others are putting words in his mouth is beyond me. It seems some try only to read between the lines how about reading the farking lines itself without trying hash alot of shyte from anothers comments?
just my 2c.
Copper/ Silver - The original, the rest are just copies.

as with most things in life you get what you pay for, I think people should be thanked for giving an honest opinion about a product, especially if it can help others, good job Rob.

Hi Rod,
Interesting perspective. Do you believe all aftermarket adjustable levers are crap or do you have brand you believe better than Pazzo etc?
Personally I've always found Pazzo better than any standard levers and like the quality, but happy to hear of better product.
