As you already know I will be doing the day ride (Liz says she will come too). There is a mate on a Honda 900 that is also interested in joining us. The more the merrier. He will do the day portion only. See you all at the BP. Robin.

I will be taking the car as I am not to confident on the VFR as I am on the Bee... yet. Ok real reason, cant carry much wine and fruit on a bike. Anyway if anyone wants me to take their gear I will be at the BP. I'll be the one with the air conditioning running and the really loud tunes!!!

Arrived home feeling good and even washed the motocross track evidence away, to find no immediate poetic entry from Trix !!!!! Now that has taken the shine off my homecoming just a little. No pressure Trix............

Thanks Shane for another beauty. It has to be a good weekend when even the strangest of excursions in the hottest part of the day amongst border territory's best banjo players adds to the fun and makes everyone smile.

Now where to next?

Yeah sorry about that Scott I will get on to it as soon as I can. We got home, unpacked and had a sleep for about 3 hours, then had visitors etc. I will get it.

Lunch on the way to Wallangarra

Only lunchtime and the lies about the morning's achievements have already started

So THIS is why the local were saying Shredder was offensive !!!!!

Seems there were benefits in staying on the NSW side of the border. Friendly locals.

Seems driving a train is much more difficult than piloting a Busa

Safety thongs AND standing over the train safety line. Seeing that it is probably best that Monoman didn't bring the B-King along !!!!

What was that?..... something about faggots and Bandits?

Thanks for organising the ride Shane, had some interesting moments alright. Was good to catch up with old friends and meet new ones. 18 months is definitely too long to be away from the action.

Ok now that I have had a feed and a cup of tea the ride report is up.

We met at the BP Yatala with a couple of "old" faces making an appearance (Shane and Paul).
So roll call went something like this
Shredder
Paul
Shane
Rod
Brett
Dave
Tony
Mechanix and Yvette
Scott
Steve
Greeny
Robin went to Dreamworld???? Don't know why, more adrenaline on a Busa than the Giant drop anyday

I of course went in the car to stock up on wine supplies, which I did :)

Ok so everyone sets off and I caught up with them at Beudesert, I think I may have turned the aircon down at that stage and the music up!!!. After that they left me behind so for part of this the ride report is all about Me!!!
Ok stopped in Warwick, bought some bead from the bead shop and a recommendation was to have breakfast at Palms on Palevin. Yup good food and great hostess (Tracey) who gave me a couple of tips on where to go to get some wine and liqueurs. Right arrived at Stanthorpe and the first recommendation was Castle Glen liquers where I picked up a bottle of rose, a chocolate port, bottle of sparkling ginger beer and a sample pack of liquer. Next stop the Caves where I got a bottle of tawney port and
a bottle of sparkling grape juice.

Stopped at Bald Mountain Winery and picked up a bottle of White and the nice lady gave me an Indian Summer something or rather which has a very nice red orange flower. Great view and good security

Next stop Pyramid Road Winery where I picked up a bottle of Bordeaux that I have remembered from the last visit to Wallengara. I received a phone call from Shane whilst fighting with Tom (short for Tomtom-pain-in-the-rear)9who was trying to get me to go back to Brissy) asking if I knew where Tone was. Apperantly he headed off in a different direction and took Steve with him. Doh!! Tone rang me as soon as I landed at the pub to tell me he took a wrong turn but did manage to catch up with David and Megan in Woodenbong. So Team Breakaway arrived an hour before the Main Group.

Meanwhile the weather changed from sunshine to downpour and windgusts then back to sunshine. Main Group arrived mostly dry and after a few beers

we settled down to a great steak.

Went across to the Wallengara where the Muthas were hanging out and found Kerry up to no good. Dumped a pav on some blokes head, hosed every one down and then proceeded to sing from her repertoire of Kevin Wilson. Ok by then I needed some sleep. People were still partying just on dawn!!! After packing up the car, we all trooped over to the Markets where we browsed to our hearts content, spent more money and had breaky. After breaky Tony and I decided to set off, so I was back in the car with the air con and my tunes while Tone rode home. Made it home to our babies who demanded we turn the air con on and have a nap. Who were we to argue.

Thanks to Shredder for organising another great away trip and thanks to all the guys and gals who came along for the ride. Give me another 100 hours and I should be good to go.

Thanks for putting a photo of my bike up Trix. Even though I did the ride down there with the Muthas I was pleased I was bunking in at Jennings Hotel with you guys. It was rowdy over there. The bloke who wore the pavlova was celebrating his b'day and that was not part of the plan . Kerry the publican grabbed a few of the girls for a mercy trip into Tenterfield for more supplies late into the night to keep the wine flowing. And didn't Shredder give it to Mono for not riding his B-King down, bloody funny. A good weekend .

Hey Guys
Just wanted to thank you all for coming along this weekend
having you there & enjoying the ride makes it worth organising it.
It was also good to have tried a few new roads which turned out to be A1
Hope to see you all again & any new faces on the next ride in the New yr.
Have a Safe & Merry X mass / New yr.

Hey Rod i hope your ok & what ever is going on with you can be sorted.
Dont feel to bad about leaving the ride you weren't the only 1
3 of the boys missed the turn off & ended up dirt road & just keep goingWtf
You atleast turned up & tried, went to Boonah for the 1st time, & atleast rode your bike unlike MONO who left his in the garage so Pi_thumbsup to you.

This ride for me was the 1st real spirited run back since my off & i was OK.While the BKing was great fun over the weekend & could hold its own against the busa's "most of the time" its not a busa & on some of the roads we were on i wish i had taken the bus instead.
Holding on for grim death on the BK & having a bus go past in 5th
then seeing a usall back marker trying his luck to overtake as well.Scary

I dont think we could complain about the Jennigs hotel hospitality/service. Thanks Lynne.

Only got a couple of shots
