Ray.... and all those other lucky new K8 owners... some totally non-technical questions.

1) Which do you prefer from a 'looks' point of view? I have to admit I've still not seen one in the flesh, but was wondering if the back end is better looking in reality compared with the photo's.

2) Is there anything you'd like to change? Eg : Cans, screen etc.

3) What tyres are they supplied with as standard?

4) In terms of fit and finish, is the Gen II up to the Gen I standard?

1)the back end looks better in the flesh. i personally am starting to prefer it to the older model. however once the plastic license plate holder is removed and the mufflers either swapped for small better looking units or completely removed looks absolutley horn in my opion. once i get my system in from shane ill show some pictures of the arse end wit no license plate or lastic bracket.
2)I HATE!!!! the mufflers on it with a passion, screen is fairly adequate but being the size i am id like something a touch taller to get right under properly, the stiock grab rail on the 2008 is a bit lacking compared to the gen1 but only marginally smaller really. apart from that im happy
3) i think they are bt015's
4) i think the quality is up there with the gen I. i havent come across any issues with fit or finish so far

+1 Dan. Except that I don't mind the stock mufflers but it would be good if they were smaller.
The screen is also good for my height.
The tyres are BT015 but are a special cut for the BUSA.
Quality of finish is top of the class for any bike manufacturer.

I haven't ridden one yet. (Tooooo scared I will want one!!)
But Sitting on one it's easy to see the screen is much better than the old one. I changed mine imediately on the '99, but don't think I'd bother with the gen2.
I also agree that the arseend looks heaps better in the flesh, and I'm sure it would grow on me.

BUT THE PIPES ARE POXXXX. They look like they've come off an old Honda ST. I'd cut them off and just run the headers in preference to those sewer pipes. IMHO

I am 1.9 m and the screen is far too low.
Barring lying flat the protection is poor.
With a bike this size and power you would think that one will be able to cruise comfortably with arms stretched without being blasted off the bike.

I have changed the screen to the new Suziui after parts screen.
Not much better.

The center is better but now the the wind hits my shoulders.
In fact over 220 it starts to buffet its simply outright dangerous.
I need a better screen can anybody advise?

Yep, I can also confirm that there is a buzz right on 4500rpm but nothing worse than a constant tingle. If you are busy, you don't even notice it.
I did a full day on the road today and found that the fuel consumption is better than I first reported under normal riding conditions. I edited item 16 in the first post.

The screen suits me fine and I noticed that there is a constant stream of air directed straight at my armpits and that was great on a 35deg day.

Ray... what about the clutch? Is it a bit vague like the Gen I? Candidate for a weld up?
