I wish a bike would come along and wipe the floor with the 7 year old Busa! Seriously!
I'm yet to be passed down a long road on anything but a Turbo Busa so far................ (I mean a race track)

But keep up the good work guys. i love it.........

Cheers, Phil. "Still waiting for the Busa beater"

Modern bike are all good. I love bikes first and Suzuki second (2 of my 3 bikes have been Suzuki). I'm upset Kawasaki keep NEARLY making brilliant bikes.

Their styling is awful, then out of the blue they get it right with their 600, mostly right with their 1k, but suck at in the ultimate class. I honesty prefer the ZX 12.

I want to be tempted to give up my busa, and Kawasaki keep messing up. If I gave up the busa, I'd like a Ducati, but wouldn't because of the dry clutch so would probably look at Honda, Yamaha, or Aprilla in that order.

Just so upset at Kawasaki mucking up over and over again.

Be honest, if you gave up your busa it wouldn't be for a Kwak.

Forgot to add the term is "BUSABEATER"!

That's the aim, and that's why our bike is still tops. No one says ZX12 beater or R1 beater and they won't say ZX14 beater either. There's no illeration in it, so we'll never be beaten as a product until the Yamaha Bumbuster comes along, and we're all talking about Bumbuster beaters.

Hey, I've had a bottle of wine - I didn't start the post after your pissed format. Look up...two others started it.

I have but four comment being a former and future busa owner and having put a few hundred k's on zx14.

The zx14:
1) Shit low down power making the bike really only effective on the highway or strip.

2) Fantastic breaks and I loved the instruments.

The Busa

1) Great power everywhere out classed in the top rev range by the 14 but stomps the 14 everwhere else.

2) Shit brakes for such a fast bike but is easily fixed(unless your a latte rider you dont even need your brakes as the kerb stops it rolling backwards on the side stand at the cafe a.k.a PAN Dirty Dan For Life

The Busa is all 'Class' and certainly in a class of it's own. Kwaka doesn't come near it in styling or 'Wow' factor, in fact it looks very average. I saw a ZX14 for the first time at the drags a couple of weeks ago and didn't know what it was. I really thought it was an old CBR1000 with a paint job but I certainly didn't want to have a closer look. Nothing about it appealed.

The Busa rules and will go down in history as 'The' bike all the others tried to beat....... and failed

If its the same one I saw, it was a skinny young dude with a black one with aftermarket end cans fitted. First time I saw one and he gave me a sit. Feels nice and light and he said that he was pulling 10.4s on his first night ever at the strip so i'm sure the stock 14 is a little quicker than the busa in stock form with same rider on both, there's enough dyno prints out there to prove that.
With looks, beauty is in the eye of the the beholder, the busa grew on me with time as did my appreciation for the female form and the look of a 750SS duke and other things. Unfortunately the broadside of a 14 is reminiscent of bikes of a bygone era, circa 1985, the horizontal strips remind me of a tank on a GSX1100, the seat from a VF or CBR honda. The monocoque frame is rumoured to be from a 80's race bike. I'll sum up th styling in one word with a quote from Will Smith of MIB:-"dayum".

We should thank Kawasaki, and any other manufacturer who has a genuine go at knocking Hayabusa of the top rung. For if they succeed in doing so, it will most certainly motivate Suzuki to reclaim that crown....and in the process, we'll get an even faster and better Busa. For 6 years they haven't had to do much to improve the Hayabusa...and it remains to be seen if Kawasaki's ZX14 will make much of a dent in their sales of the Hayabusa worldwide. I'm better Suzuki are watching the situation very carefully, and I wouldn't mind better they are already working on something else new...apart from that Stratosphere 6 cylinder. Whatever happens, there's no denying that the Hayabusa is a phenomenal motorcycle, and it will take something truly special to better it.
