Heidi not tried it myself but i hear a hairdryer and a credit card is the way to go, fingernails etc can scratch the paint trying to lift the sticker

How easy are they to get off the tank?

Heidi....
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE .... Yes heat guns are great but do yourself a HUGE favour, find ANY local signwriter or supply shop and ask them for a TEFLON RAZOR BLADE. I'm a signwriter, my dad and i look after heaps of the race teams. Don't risk scratching the tank or fairings, the teflon razor blade will sting the bank account for the huge and painful sum of about $2 and will last you for ages. If you can't find one please message me and i'll happily throw one in an envelope for you.

Thanks all! Alchemist, that sounds like an incredibly useful thing to own! I'm going to trot down to Bunnings and grab one.
What I will probably end up doing is using the brains trust, Bikerboy to put some ideas together for me, then professional stickers and I might use a spray painter to put them on.
