Mate, the Genl (99-07) has very minor changes, and the Genll (08-current) are identical.

I would expect that for free just to cover the inconvenience.Im also confused as to why GCC would not get a plastic rear guard hugger and take the template from that, surprised that their chinese suppliers have not got one done yet!!!

They need the bike to make sure their parts fit perfetly instead of relying on someone else's crap that doesn't. I have GCC products and the quality is excellent unlike some garbage that comes from not China but USA. Just sent back a front fender for Gen2 that I bought from Crown Motorsports. It was made by TwilltechCF in California. If you have strong stomach (do not want you to puke on your keybord) I can post a photo of it. They sell on E-bay so be aware. Back to GCC - their parts are made here in Australia, not imports from China as you suggesting.

Im not suggesting anything malicious just relaying what a customer said to me and to clear it up for you I think his products are great but like everyone else labour costs are cheaper in China. When Mary and Phil where overseas(some time ago)their son who was not a happy chappy running the show had a customer in there looking for a product and HE said that some stuff was from their own manufacturers/distributors in China......now if that is the case than I still don't have a problem with it as Phil is a stickler for quality and its understandable that time and the fact that he was on his own doing all this stuff would be virtually impossible for him to do although he is the fastest one legged man on a burgman scooter I have ever seen.My post was more of a surprise as to why he needs the bike for so long but you would if you need to create a mould to mass produce.
A typical example is Alpinestars which are made in asian countries and still a good product, there is china than there is the other china that you pay for what you get.
Alot of US distributors are making their stuff there and just tagging it with their name, its a matter of going or finding the right plant to manufacture your product to your standards, been there lately and some of the stuff they have shits all over Aus,US,European "quality" stuff.
Still think that leaving the bike there for 5 days deserves a freebiePi_tongue

Good link. Pi_thumbsup Shame they do not make the replicas of the original parts. That front fender is so short at the back that there could be some seroius risk of getting a hole in a radiator after hitting gravel on the road at speed.
