I spoke to a bloke at Eastern Creek Motorcycle wreckers yesterday while I was getting my tyres put on and he said he'd like to bring his ZX12 down and give it a try...

This looks like it's going to be a great night... Busa VS Blackbird VS ZX12.

Does anyone know what the Aussie ZX12 club webpage is? Maybe we could invite more of them...

Pan,

Hope you've worked on your clutch and lauching technique as we talked about last time ?

1.9 60' or better will net you a low 11 or high 10.

He's been working on his polishing technique's me thinks,

I have to pull my injectors out tonight i have a misfire when the motor is cold, any tips on cleaning them i had the same problem 12 months ago and had all the filters changed,
i'll check the filters again and try and clean them,
i'm sure i have one sticky injector that plays up,
any one running injector cleaner in their fuel dose it really help.
Cheers Robert

Hi Leonard. Can't say I've had much luck with practicing take-offs. A couple of quick starts, a couple of stalls, and one big thump in my chest (tank hit me).

I'll aim for mid 11's consistently, then work on low 11's, 10's, 9's, etc...

I'm definitely feeling positive. I may end up just running mid 12's or mid 11's on Wednesday, but if I ride as good as I feel I should do well. Not cocky or arrogant (I am well aware of my inexperience and my limits), but pretty sure I'm taking on board the advice Leonard has given me, and should be able to improve each time...

Besides, I'll be racing against bikes with H's in them... , so I'm extra motivated...

I do still have problems with the clutch, all probably to do with confidence. I haven't managed that perfect quick first take-off, but once I do things will get easier.

I see other guys at the drags absolutely peg it off the mark and move swiftly over the forst 20 feet, whereas I'm still taking off slowly.

I'll talk to Leonard and the guys on Wednesday for more ideas though...

I wouldn't mind some of us getting together in a large car park and trying a few take off's one day. Maybe after a spannering session one day...

Heaps of revs and use the clutch to keep the front end from climbing too high. Works for me.

And why not!!!!! We could do it in front of Colins place, he could sit out front with the tribe and cheer until one of them got nailed. By then he would be too pissed to care!!!

And would love to come to the drags, but do you think i can find the bloody rego papers.....NOPE!!! Regards

Blah Blah Blah, I cant go riding this weekend because I am babysitting. Woosy excuse for a copper silver rider. You've got a fence havent ya!!! they wont get that far!!! In fact I am going to lay bets on the drags, my money is on Blackkat. More power is ALWAYS the answer rather than a crap colour scheme like 3 day old turd copper silver. Regards
