Copped a speeding fine yesterday - in the car
#16
It's pretty cut and dried really, In QLD, no streetlights = 100 km/hr, regardless of what surface the road has. We don't count bitumen as infrastructure. Any magistrate would throw this out straight away, it is just a shame you have to waste your time going to court about it. I would get someone in the car to go over the route and take a video in case you need it, or in case a sign gets put there in the meantime.

See a lawyer with all your paperwork. You should win your case.
Most people don't fight it in court, that is what the copper is counting on as most people just take it up the ar*e & pay the fine.
Did the bacon have a video & recorder running ?

Not good advice. If the Police Officer kills himself or others or ends up disabled whilst in pursuit, you would not feel very good for the rest of your life, neither would they or their families.Coolsmiley

They say two wrongs don't make a right why should the police break the law to catch you. I dont how many times ive seen the police speeding with no lights on, turn without indercating, busted tail light. I have even followed one and he was just speeding to get mcdonalds and stuff his face. Who makes sure there doing the right thing it's not like we can pull them over give a ticket.

Do not lower yourself to their level, after all, you are from W.A. & if the law has not changed over the past few years, these devices are still totally legal to have fitted to your vehicle in W.A. http://www.delonixradar.com/products/29/beltronics/

Yeah, a lot of people on this forum have 2 user names.
I wouldn't worry about it, I probably won't be here that much longer, then you can kiss all the ar*e you want.

I feel for you. I copped a speeding fine to just before our xmas double demerits came in. I was doing 77 in a 50 zone. Had only just left work and had been stressed for a while and just simply wasnt even looking at the speed i was doing. I was just driving. To my surprise i didnt even realise it was a 50 zone and didnt think i would even be going that fast.
So $361 later and 4 points. Not a happy girl. And it wasnt even on the bike.
Good luck with it all.
Here in NSW you can ask for a review if you have a speeding fine however they will make you pay it most of the time if it is over 15k over and you have had other speeding fines within the past 10 yrs. Seriously who has a clean record for 10 yrs?
