I remember dad used mobil1 full synthetic in a vn v8 calais in the early 90,s.It obviosly wasn,t fully run in yet as it glazed the bores golden and started blowing smoke due to lack of ring seal.Fortunately it was warranteed,but it proves the point that proper break in needs to occur BEFORE full synthetics are used.I,ve also heard and seen busas making more power after about 30,000k,s.Now if full synthetics are used from early on the motor may take much longer to loosen up?
