so we are guessing she was booked just outside the zone..
yes simo its pretty harsh since they dont have many points to with and i dont really want to chauffer her to workUndecided

A "P" plater speeding through a school zone? Surely you can't even start to make excuses for her Mrs Cheeky!
What if she had killed some poor school kid? Do you still think they were being harsh?
What about if it was one of your children killed in a school zone by a "P" plater? Would you still think it was a harsh penalty?

Too many of the "P" platers these days are driving far beyond their limits and not only killing themselves but their young mates as well.

If I get done on my "P"s dad will kill me! Certainly wont let me near the bike for 100 years. Have you thought about the fact that your daughter is a danger to everyone on the road Mrs Cheeky? Maybe you should take her to one side and give her a bit of your mind! Might save my life and some of these other motorbike riders lives out on the road.

I don't want to sound to heavy about this but the road is a killing zone for us at the moment. Someone has to keep us "P" drivers safe. Sorry for the hijacking but something has to be said. I want to live passed my 20th

sighhhhh... here goes the full explanation.

ok daughter was in 50 zone just before the 40 zone.they started to wave her over BEFORE THE 40 sign.
however by the time she pulled over to them she was in the 40.

we were worried that they were going to book her in a 40.as it was a grey area from when they waved her in to where she pulled up near them.Pi_freak

as i said on the fine it says 51/50.
meaning she was speeding 1 km over.

there you go cronix..happy now?Lol2

i feel its harsh as 1km over is so easy to do.. if she was doing 5kms i would have personally kicked her butt.no matter what zone
but you would never ever speed would you.apparently your an angel.?

That sounds far too harsh and really worth a challenge but even if she gets the ok from a judge, she still loses her point or points and just saves the fine.
If the ticket doesn't mention anything about "school zone", there is no zone penalty to be considered.
On the ticket in NSW there is a field of info titled "SHORT TITLE OF OFFENCE"
Cheeky, in your daughter's case it should have written "exceed speed by less than 10kph".

My friend in blue in Bathurst explained that he was allowing me a percentage for speedo error in my offence. It doesn't sound like your local guy believes in that in going for a 1 kph over fine.
I've never heard of a 1kph over fine in NSW before and I don't think it could stand up in court.

I have no complaints about my penalty, I deserved it, even for just a few seconds of lunacy.
Getting booked for speeding in 2nd gear on Conrod straight is just plain embarrassing but memorable.

I lived in Goulburn a long time ago, there, in those days the local highway patrol would book motorists for 1s and 2s over the limit using their professional judgement. In those days the fine was $20 to $30 so no one ever fought them. You just have to be seriously bored to be doing people for such silly offences. 1 kay or 2 kays, but, it did happen.
Good weather, good woman, good road, good bike, good-bye!!

Shame you got pulled, would have been fun in the Mini though.

If I thought we could have got away with it I would have met you with the VW Golf GTI and then it would have been on for young and old.

Is your Mini chipped or standard. The GTI is standard at the moment, I am thinking of doing the chip trial and seeing if it's really worth it. The output goes from 147kW to 180kW......FUN!!!

My mini has a pully reduction kit to speed up the charger and a sports air filter. Response is instantanious and acceleration is very good.
I don't know if it is chipped. I bought it as is.
We had a GTI along for the run. It was a turbo 1.8ltr.
Also a new BMW 135.

Maybe a trip to half way house ????
We came home via Bell line of rd and the Putty on Saturday.
zzooommm zzooom.

Cheeky .being booked for 1 km over the limit is BULLSHIT.Their speed cameras aren't that accurate & according to an earlier post ,the Aust police don't have a license to use them anyway & every speed camera offence can be successfully defeated in court . I'm just glad i live in SA where they don't play those bullshit games. We still get unofficially 10%.

i know greeny and i want too appeal the fine.yet the daughter is far stubbon than i.she has resigned she did the wrong thing why rock peoples boats.

we the parents always when we drive around go above 5 to 9 kms about the limit on highways.never a prob..if a police man objects he may wave his hand as in slow down you dummies.
but frig its 4points...off a 7 point licence.
and i,m asuming it will take the normal 3 years to get them back.?
anyone know?what time limit with the new point system?
