spamanglenn Wrote:The path of an australian dealer is a perilous one.If retail customers can get gear landed here significantly cheaper by purchasing from the manufacturer direct or an american retailer than an australian dealer can sell it to you for,i wouldnt waste my time being a dealer for them.Brock makes good gear but sells to everyone and with the discount structure available to australian dealers compared to US dealers, doesn,t try very hard at building a customer support network.Ive said all along,if an australian dealer doesn,t get the same discount structure as the big US WHOLESALERS,eg tuckerrocky etc.The US retailers with their high turnover can often undersell the Australian dealer. Its hard to say support the Australian dealer if hes being screwed and theres is significant saving in bringing it in yourself.Don,t expect much back up support in buying from Overseas though, and the local dealer aint going to be helpful if you ring them if you didn,t buy off them,so make your decision based on the product that your buying.

spamanglenn,
I'm all for supporting local Australian dealers and the first person to promote buy Australian, and I understand that they must make a profit to survive in business, but 100% plus mark up on one item and over 200% on another is a bit rich.

hey there ausdrag

i dont know you from a bar of soap but hey with an attitude like that i dont really want to..

unless you fell out of the womb at 43 an expert how do you think you gained your knowledge real or otherwise,
the greatest achievers where exactly that because they were passionate about what they did

i wonder if the likes of doonan,Rainey,Larry McBride(5.79 quarter) waited until they were 41 and then just become experts

i am in retail(construction) and yes i get time wasters however i treat every customer as a sale, you would be surprised at how strong the word of mouth and referals are and i bet bigfoot would be an asset to any business in that department

and 1 more thing check out this website
first pass at 2.5 yrs of age

tell him and the others that they are to young or time wasters

ausdrag we all get to age just some dont mature, perhaps thats why you posted the playschool link, i am guessing that was in your top bookmarks.

how do you feel about the next link she is both female and a junior
tell here she doesnt belong either !!
female junior drag racer

in otherwords f*** off with your negative remarks

thankfully most here i have found helpfull and friendly, its these people why the board is alive.. this board would have been dead long ago with remarks like yours

youre dead write mate thanks!!

In regards to cyanide racing my brocks carbon shorty (gen1) turned up in 1 week. Good price and plenty of back up support. And good luck getting a good price anywhere at the moment with the dollar so F@#KED up.

shop around dude the only Australian dealer trying to get those kind of margins i know of are akrapovic. As ive said the australian dealer should be price competitve(within 10%)If not its not always his own greed, its often the discount structure.

you also have too along for govt taxes when bringing a full system in. if you are lucky get thru then its a win for you but be prepared for that gst tax and form filling. if you are not sorted on import duty forms your time will be a plenty to get your new system out of customs. The australian dealers also have this cost to allow for as a lot of stuff is flagged these days and you might get one thing thru but the next time it will be stopped as they monitor parcels and addresses for people via there computer systme on every item. my neighbour brings in other equipment and is forever filling in paperwork and going to the airport to pick up his gear and you can expect up to an extra week wait.

yes aud is fxxxed at the moment and its doesn;t look like changing in a hurry.

brock systems are good and as are all the other major players its just personal taste on which one to get imo and what you will be using the system for. drag racing, street, mid range etctetec.

Surely there is some kiddie site you can go to, maybe www.playschool.com or www.wiggles.com

Jeeze mate everyone knows I am a pretty straight shooter when it comes to comments but man I think you might have been a little harsh, yep he posts a little too much for my liking too and makes unness comments but he is 17 mate.

Everyone on Ebay is selling for the same price Brock is so no sale to be had
