If you can stand the heat and the isolation then you will love the lifestyle. Most of the sites are very unionised and the work ethic is fairly casual.
Do it Bill even if it's for only a year or two, if your careful with your money you can really get ahead.
The biggest problem on these remote sites is gambling, it's nothing to see thousands on the poker table everyday after work.
If you go then make sure that your employer provides accomodation, if the site is near a town then the rent in town will be HUGE.
