In short myBB. Don't you think the SUZUKI engineers did exactly what you are asking about the traction control mode options?
They have been testing it in Superbikes and GP bikes for a few years now and I'm pretty sure they know what they are doing.
(Just look at how the GP suzukis are doing in the wet).
As for the running gear changes, the same applies, it is all tested and compared by the engineers to improve the product. What more could you want?
The road testers will certainly do the comparos in the real world in the next few months.
