there are a lot to choose from.
If you ask me i don't think it matters if you pay $300 or $3000 so long as you find the features that you want and the right fit.
Do you want a removable lining?
Do you want lots of visor options? (tear off clips, extra thick lens, etc.)
Do you want that BMW style toaster oven lift up front?
Do you want built in Bluetooth?
Do you care about the type of shell? (carbon, arimid, fibreglass, polycarbonate, blah blah blah)
Are graphics important or would you have it painted or decaled later?
Narrow down what you want in features then find a good fitting helmet. Don't stop there. Tell the little pimple faced geek that works in the motorcycle clothing section casue he don't know shit about bikes that you want to take the helmet for a test ride. I'm serious. YEars ago i bought a helmet, shit hot helmet, and the friggin thing whistled! Had it two weeks then gave it away. I think the mate that i gave it to gave it away also in a short space of time. If you see a second hand red white and blue KBC for free don't touch it, it could be my old one.
Serously though, leave your credit card there or the missus (yeah yeah leave the missus, fair swap for a helmet from my point of view, shit you wanna take my missus see if you can swap her for a helmet?) um... yeah getting back to it. give the little geek so reasurance that your going to come back and take the helmet on a ride. get up to 140 ish sit up look and around make sure it's not whistling or pushing on your nose or trying to give you a columbian neck tie everytime you move. If all is good go back and buy the helmet, or if you left my missus there just keep riding.
