Engine life of busa

Hey guys I was talking to some random the other day who reckoned he knew about bikes and he was trying to tell me a busa motor is only good for 100,000kms. Now I know this is not the case as there's a few guys herewho have done over this amount and are still going strong. But it did get me thinking - how long does a well treated motor last for (and an abused one for that matter)?

Any ideas? Or is there someone out there who has racked up a massive amount of kms and wants to share their opinion?
