Fate it was - you must of needed a new unscratched one!
Once, I had a sleeping bag fly out whilst riding about 220, with my brother behind me!
The tightly packed bag somehow must of split during the day due ockey straps chafeing ... but wind caught an edge and my bro said it look like a parachute opened up from behind me!!!! .... At that speed , he swerved onto other side of road, and missed it - being on Nullabor was no worries!
