Mate, you are lucky if that's all you lost. Spare a thought for my mate who did an overnighter last week and was riding back along the Princes H/Way from Bairnsdale and had his bag and sleeping bag strapped to the Ventura rack and suddenly the sleeping bag manages to come unstuck and wraps around his rear wheel and chain at 110kph. Result...broken shoulder, broken foot, broken hand. Bike totalled and it was a loaner and not his. Then again it was only a Triumph. Jokes aside, he is lucky to still be here. Probably a lesson to be learned is to check you gear every time you take off.
