I should suggest that if anyone doesn't have at least one good spare key, they shoot around to their local Master Locksmiths and get a copy made.
A copy of a good key is only about $10. But a key cut on a blank to code can cost about $50.
If they can't work out what blank to use, they have to dissassemble the ignition and work out the cuts.
Add at least another $50 for that little job.
