I know bugger all about the PCII, so correct me if I am wrong but once the bike has been tuned to suit the exhaust, what benefit would the PCII add?

I have just put my bike in today for the 4-2-1 yoshi. The dealer has the Yoshi tuning box and says that this does the job and I don't need a PCII. Does anyone know if this is correct?
