Will a Power Commander III USB for '05 Busa fix my backfire
#10
I second Maj. You instantly identify and fix the problem with the marble block, reversible too, I would try that first. Removing the PAIR unit saves a little weight but you still have to block the holes near the exhaust with cover plates or tap and fit plug bolts. Another option is to route that hose to the crankcase breather and have it pull vacuum on the crankcase, thats' what i've got on mine with a full akra system and no backfiring. Not sure if its worthwhile on a later model because my clymer manual tells me that the PAIR valve is solenoid operated via the ecm, more complications.
The last and most expensive way to fix the backfire is of course th PCIII.
