I agree that there are many quick cars out there. Used to live near a 10 second VL turbo.
But there are only a few who are able compared with the hundreds that are dreaming.
Still remember the first day I picked up the Busa. The previous bike was a 250 and I was wasted by only 3 cars - a wrx (very, very, very not stock), a VN SS, and a BMW Z3.
Cars, especially all-wheel-drive models, will still have a standstill grip advantage, and Skylines/wrx's take off like bullets. Roll-ons are no hassle, but it's more about timing/gear selection that will win it in the short term.
Need to practice my standstill takeoffs.
Bigshow... whats the best way to get a quick takeoff?
I have much appreciation/respect for a car/driver who can out-sprint a bike. But I keep telling everyone, quarter mile isn't everything. 95% of the cars out there only dream about hitting 250km/h, let alone reaching 300. And to make a car go fast in a straight line is easy, but braking and cornering seem often forgotten. Vehicles shoud be developed/modified for all round ability, not just to out sprint at a set of lights.
