I had a house full of mates over last night for SOO. Of 9 people, all 9 bet on NSW to win (includes 3 Queenslanders). When stupid me asked "Why ?" I got the following explanation.

Whoever wins the first game wins the series. Whoever loses the first game wins the second game. It's rigged.

All delivered very matter-of-factly with all attendees nodding and looking at me like... "Well... didn't you know that dummy ?"
