I hate having to look down at the speedo all the time when I am riding safely but uncertain if I am 5-10km over, - it's stupid that we have to. I've taken to following the fastest car just so I can keep my eyes on the road. A police cadet I know says it's a good strategy as they can't hand out two tickets.
When I was a kid they showed us future bike helmets with fans to stop visor mist up, and 'head-up' pilot style displays so we could keep our eyes on the road while reading our speed, fuel level, tacho etc...
Cars have had new technology by the bus load in that time, but bikes have seen nothing like the same.
