There's no stopping the laws of physics Dee. I didn't mind the wet boots as long as I wasn't wet anywhere else, the trip back home was interesting though..... rode up through Omeo and Mt Hotham which was nice until we got to diner plains near the peak and then all hell broke loose.
First it started raining, then it decided to snow and if that wasn't enough it threw in the thickest layer of fog Iv'e ever seen..(couldn't see more than 2 bike length's)..when we got to the top it was a total whiteout and about 2' degrees.
Even though the road was wet i knew there was no black ice because water dosen't freeze until zero degrees but still didn't take any chances and checked the infamous tunnel anyway. Slowly made our way down the mountain to harrietville which was a good ride because it cleared up about half way down and meant we could start dicing for the lead again.....
Ended up through Mt Beauty (what a top ride, luv doing it every year) and onto wodonga for the first night.
Second day we had more dramas, rode through tallangatta up through Granya, Walwa and then onto Knankoban. Went through to Thredbo which was excellent although one of us had a moment with a council ute which was trying to decide to turn or not, in the end she clipped the back right bumber trying to overtake it when he decided to start moving again (f*&^ing idiot council workers) and smashed her left headlight and fairing in the process. She managed to stay on and then proceeded to abuse the fuckwit....:"> :"> :"> :">
All in all the ride was brilliant and the racing was top grade as usual, bring on 2004 and if the rumour mill is right Rossi will be on a Yamaha...Can't wait to see that.!!!!!!!!!!!
