I'm not sure if there is much interest out there, but I'm part way through making a seat for drag racing. The idea is to remove the standard hump and front seat, then replace both with a one piece unit that pushes the bum forward and is as low as you can get a piece of fibreglass over the standard front seat area. This is all Blackzooks fault for pointing out I don't sit far enough forward!
No padding, but I guess you could add a bit.
Very hard to put a price on it, but I've been quoted around $250 to $300 to make a proper mould from which good seats can be made. After the basic seat is made, I'd have to put together some brackets to fit the existing clamp arrangements. Just need the key to remove it (I don't use the front screws).
So I think it's going to end up around $300 min each.
If there's any interest, then I can go ahead and make proper moulds. If not enough interest, it will end up a one-off!
This is part way through shaping
This is just about final shape.
