Well why not start by everybody going to the bike protest ride early next year in Vic regarding the withdrawal of the $50 levy ?
Bikers in Tasmania managed to pressure their MP's to get rid of impending legislation that would have resulted in a "levy"
against them as well. We all know what happens to the money once it goes into general revenue.
They get highly paid political appointee'$ (mate$) to advi$e them to whack a few dodgy signs up saying " motorcycle hazard area ahead". Haven't seen any attempts to improve road conditions or hazards in the same area's in my travels though.
And while we're on the subject, just how is it that the very people who's livelihoods depend on motorcycles sales always seem to assume a low profile in the big picture scheme of things ?
I've been to a few protest rides over the years & never saw anybody representing motorcycle traders making themselves generally known or backing the people who put bread & butter on their tables. Go to a race meeting though & there they all are, getting involved.
If Bracksy could legislate bikes off the roads tomorrow, he'd do it in a heartbeat, question is......would we let him ?
