Glen I actually bought a set of second hand TLR mirrors for $50 the stalks are black usually, but 10 minutes on the buffing wheel and wallah they are all nice and shiney I know for a fact that you cant remove the stalks out of the mirrors for chroming you have to break the mirror to get them out
