We should thank Kawasaki, and any other manufacturer who has a genuine go at knocking Hayabusa of the top rung. For if they succeed in doing so, it will most certainly motivate Suzuki to reclaim that crown....and in the process, we'll get an even faster and better Busa. For 6 years they haven't had to do much to improve the Hayabusa...and it remains to be seen if Kawasaki's ZX14 will make much of a dent in their sales of the Hayabusa worldwide. I'm better Suzuki are watching the situation very carefully, and I wouldn't mind better they are already working on something else new...apart from that Stratosphere 6 cylinder. Whatever happens, there's no denying that the Hayabusa is a phenomenal motorcycle, and it will take something truly special to better it.
