Blackzook,you can get to the wire without pulling off the nosecone,although it is tricky and not a lot of room to move,but it can be done.You need to take of your rhs fairing panel(as sitting on bike)then look on the rhs of the headlight.
You will see a wire with a plug on it just above? the rhs of the headlight.Im told this wire was there for the european models that ran a parking light.I went to the wreckers and got a wire with the right connecter on it to go into the plug,as the wire that you need to tap into isnt very long so you need to extend it.This wire is fused so no probs running from it.
