I have increased the storage under seat three-fold by cutting out the box and securing the rear of the tray the ecm and battery sit on to the sub-frame, with a couple of brackets.
THEN, it occurred to me. Using helpful licence plate location law supplied by a member from Queenland, (sorry to lazy to search for thread), it is possible to legally locate the plate as far forward as it will go attached to the subframe, (you'll have to fashion a couple of brackets and cut entry holes through the top gun, but you have to mount a plate anyway). Then it could be be lit with a directional light mounted towards the back of the tail, (because of the top gun shape, you'll only see the light it gives off, the source will be hidden).
The benefits. Legal plate, the number plate is clearly visible, verticle to the ground, lit etc..., better looking from the back, AND, best of all, invisible to flashing roadside speed cameras. You heard it here first. I'm gonna do mine soon.
