I had similar problem after last years toy run.
When I returned to my bike after having a few light refreshments the bike would turn over but not start & the FI waring light was flashing.
After pulling just about ever panel off the bike found out that the fuse to the FI had blown. So I replaced it with the 5A spare put every panel back on turned the key to find out that it had blown again. After a few choice words I then replaced it with the 10A spare but this time I didn't turn the bike off before replacing the panels.
I have since replaced the 10A with the correct 5A fuse & have not suffered the problem again. I just had the bike serviced a few days before this occurred plus I was 2-up for the toy run so I assuming that a wire to the FI must of grounded somewhere on the frame with the extra weight (maybe I shouldn't refer to my partner as extra weight) as most of my riding is done solo.
I took the bike back to the service centre & they couldn't find anything wrong or they didn't look real hard, who knows. I haven't been able to find anything out of the ordinary myself so I would be interested to hear what they find wrong with your bike, hopefully it will be only something minor.
