Thought it was a name of a Kiwi Band...sorry thats Shihad
OK all sheep jokes aside (I can hear em now). I am a Kiwi and I intend becoming an Australian citizen because Australia has done alright by me and my family. What I can't handle is others coming over and bagging the Australian Culture.I hopped in a taxi when I was going back to NZ with a kiwi driver who commented that the culture here was "a bit white". Yeah well this is their country it can be as white as it likes. We're just visiting. Yeah I'm a proud Kiwi of Maori, Scottish, English descent, I will always support the All Blacks, the Silver Ferns and the Kiwis, Crowded House, Split Enz, Sharon Stevens, footrot flats, (you can keep Holly Valance and Russell Crowe) but I would never insist that people speak to me in Maori because I find English offensive or that people take their shoes off in my house or some of the other customs we have. That doesn't mean I don't do it when I go home, but when in Rome do as the Romans do and if I don't like it as it is said I can always leave.
