Gen 1 to Gen 2 Tail

Hi All! Some may think I am buggering up a perfectly good Gen I but here goes. I am about to switch out my Gen I Tail for a Gen II. I am wondering of the following parts are universal....

Seat
Pillion Seat release mechanism.

I know if I want to use a Gen II seat I have to tap the frame but can I use my Gen 1 Seat?

Then the final question... Does anyone have a set of rear pillion pegs for a gen II they want to part with.... or a set of hangars to eliminate them...
