Might be a silly question but is side stand up when trying to start in gear?
Silly question 2... when trying to start in gear is it turning over at normal speed before stopping, and is the stopping sudden and complete?
reason for asking is that you cannot run a busa in gear with side stand down, doesn't matter if clutch is in or not, so maybe if there is no actual cranking issues your side stand switch might be faulty. A simple check is to bypass switch and try it again....
