You might be right Maj, but looking at it, I don't see how it can not be done. If you cut the ends off the GenII harness (yosh & sds plugs connections - onboard Gen2, 2 wire harness is irrelevant here) essentially you are still left with the required 4 ecu wires, guage data and ground wires + 1 extra wire. Is it not just a matter of matching the correct wiring?
True the ecu pins, tbar and ringlet will be missing on the harness being cut wires, but that's it?
The flash box itself would obviously have a different plug on it Gen1/Gen2 which should not matter if it's being hacked, but when you open them up it's just a very basic usb to plug board with a switch in between.
