It was unbelievable! Set amongst mountains near a little town called Scarperia (and 30kms from Florence).
I felt like a pro racer. Had a team setting up my bike, fresh tires, tire warmers, they provided leathers and all gear, checked the bike each session, fuel, and asked for feedback after each session so they can make adjustments!
Instead of talking to them about apexing points, brake markers, tyre pressures, footpegs adjustments, rebound and compression after each session, all I ended up saying was, "it feels awesome mate!!!"
Had a blast and didn't crash!
Having done Phillip Island 2 times and Eastern Creek about 1000 times, I'd rate Mugello as the best! It is a very technical track, but also very forgiving. The setting was astounding. The people were just like Aussie track addicts, but spoke a different language.
Mug-shot! I thought the "Dero" leathers were quite appropriate
