have you thought about fitting a 21" wheel to the front ? give you a lot more stability compared to smaller
i really notice thew difference between my tiger and a mates in loose stuff his is the xc with 21" and mine is the roady with 19"

also have the yamaha xj 650 turbo but its in a million pieces at the moment
