I have always loved the Island of Cyprus.
Similar weather to Qld, but more laid back. Went several times doing my homework.
Got friends and had job offers there, and for me personally it suited as being handy for the UK.
The economy has taken a down turn but not as bad as Greece and a few others.
Wasn't going to be as easy for me to get into AU after I turned 40,
I can always go back to Cyprus.
Funny, my new Australian wife also live there for 6 months and loved the place.
Probably wouldn't suit everyone but I think I would have been happy there too.
