I love our country!

things you notice when you come back from overseas.
We have so much space.
Our public facilities, parks etc are second to none.
Our countryside is awesome.

I lived in the UK and still travel a fair bit.
Been back and forth to Europe 9 times in the last 14 years.
Did Paris, London etc earlier this year.

I looked at several country's to settle in before I chose Australia.
It was actually my 2nd choice but I can always change back to my number 1 but not the other way around.

Glad I moved here, do like the place.
I miss the UK's history and its stronger bike scene as well as how easy it is to jump
between several neighbouring countrys with very different cultures, but here certainly has its advantages.

It's far from being "The Promised Land" though.
Bogans, Racists, over taxed, low speed limits, over zealous cops and being a little
to keen to follow the Yanks both in wars and fashion and a few other area's.

Not sure about retiring here but for the moment I'm enjoying what I have in life
and from what I've seen there are much worse places to be.
