Eagles and hawks soar with broad wings and falcons, with their long narrow wings, fly fast. All are in the order Falconiformes but hawks and eagles are in the family Accipitridae while falcons are placed in Falconidae. Hawks and eagles are built differently than falcons and falcons, besides having thinner wings, have a notch on their bill that hawks and eagles do not have. Another difference is their flight patterns. Because their wings are more slender, falcons beat their wings rapidly and glide only occasionally. Hawks, on the other hand, flap their wings more slowly and glide further and more often.

so Cap't, check painting for a notch on their bill.. if smooth then it's a Eagle or Hawk, if notched a falcon LOL
