HELP

Got a question (2008 Gen2 Hayabusa)....cant upload pics FB driving me insane...did my plugs and when I was about to put it all back together again noticed inside the breather hose...right hand side that leads to filter box...inside the hose was a red plug...damaged and slightly angled...wasnt properly blocking hose....now im wondering was it left in there by mistake when bike was made or was it put in there for a reason....rang Suzuki but as usual they don't know their own bikes...gotta put my bike back together so don't know whether or not to leave it out or squeeze it back in...then thinkn why have a breather hose then block it...arrrrrrrrrrrrr
