Judging from the marks on the rotors it looks like at the pads are in contact way off the outer edge making that effective diameter close to the original one. I am guessing you are not using the OEM pads as there is also a non contact area in the middle of the disc. My thinking is that the smaller contact area between the pads and the rotor is resulting in greater force and hence greater friction. And it is that that makes them feel so much better not the diameter increase. Also bigger discs make the bike harder to turn due to larger rotating mass of the front wheel. Have you notoced any of this?Will be interesting to see how long they will last
