The times I disliked was drving in country areas (I lived int he Mountains) and going around a blind corner @ 80-100 kph on my side of the road when suddenly there 6-10 cyclists doing about 35 kph taking up the entire side of the road... nowhere to go and nothing to do but jump on brakes...
I feel the speed of cyclists on open raods to be more of a concern than enything else... just like gross over speeding, gross underspeeding creates a dangerous environment. Enjoy your cycle, have fun getting fit but please.. PLEASE.. consider others on the road and remember that if you can't keep tot he average speed of all vehicle on a stretch of road then mayby you need to find somewhere else to use (race/drag track for the speedsters, lower posted speed limits roads for the cyclists)
