fuel filter
#16
Rob , There is a very small, (10mm dia approx)plastic filter down the inlet
to the fuel pump . directly under the fuel regulator . Lots of blokes miss renewing or cleaning this one & it leads to very poor running eventually .
For some strange reason this filter blocks much faster if a fuel line under the tank is Kinked . I've had my 2000 since 2004 & have changed this filter twice & replaced the paper internal filter with new in 2007 .This applies to the 99 & 2000 only ( external fuel pump ).
